Morning after a relaxing breakfast, bask in the first rays of the sun, and later head towards Chitkul. Chitkul can be described as one of the most scenic settlements in the valley and the last inhabited village before the India-China border. This short drive from Sangla to Chitkul will be one of the most scenic drives you’ll take with plenty of opportunities to take stunning photographs. Walk around the Baspa River and pay tribute to the Mathi Goddess at the temple in the village. After spending time in Chitkul, we turn around and head to Kalpa, a picturesque village known for its views of the Kinner Kailash range. Visit Suicide Point and the Roghi Village in Kalpa. Overnight stay in Kalpa.
Early morning breakfast and departure towards Tabo. En route, stop at Reckong Peo, the district headquarters of Kinnaur, and enjoy panoramic views of the Kinnaur Kailash peaks. Continue driving through the stunning terrain of Kinnaur, passing Pooh and reaching Nako. Upon arrival, visit the beautiful Nako Lake and Nako Monastery. Then drive to Tabo which would be our first stop in the glorious, mystical Spiti Valley. The second largest village of the Spiti Valley, Tabo, is known worldwide for its 1000-year-old Tabo Monastery. Walk around this UNESCO World Heritage Site and gain a deeper insight into Buddhism. Unlike other monasteries in the Spiti Valley, the Tabo Monastery is located at the bottom of the valley. Enjoy the beautiful morning in Tabo exploring the Tabo Monastery and Tabo Caves. The Tabo Monastery is one of the oldest monasteries in Spiti Valley. There are meditation caves above the Tabo village which are carved out of the mountains and were used for meditation by the monks. Leave Tabo and head towards Dhankar village. Visit the Dhankar Monastery and make sure to enjoy the view of the Spiti River from the top of the Dhankar Castle. After Dhankar, head towards Pin Valley for sightseeing and reach Kaza in the evening for overnight stay and dinner.
This morning, have a healthy breakfast and proceed towards Hikkim village. Hikkim is the village with the highest post office in the world. After Hikkim, you will visit Komic. Komic village holds the title of the village with the highest motorable road in Asia. Thereafter, visit the Langza village, also known as the Fossil Village. The snow-capped mountains and the iconic Buddha statue near Langza are a perfect place for some quality alone time. Overnight stay at Kaza.
After breakfast at the homestay, visit the famous Key Monastery. Key Monastery is one of the biggest monasteries in Spiti Valley. It is also one of the oldest and most revered monasteries in the area. After Key Monastery, proceed towards Kibber. Kibber village is most popular during winters as during this period a variety of Himalayan wildlife comes down from the higher mountains. Just 5 kms ahead of Kibber is the iconic Chicham Bridge, which is one of the highest bridges in Asia. Then drive towards Chandratal Lake, one of the most beautiful high-altitude lakes in the Himalayas. Cross the Kunzum Pass (4,590 meters) en route. Reach Chandratal by afternoon and enjoy the serene beauty of the lake, which is shaped like a crescent moon. Overnight camping near Chandratal Lake.
Early morning departure from Chandratal and start the journey towards Manali. Drive through the rough terrain of Batal, Chhatru, and Rohtang Pass. Reach Manali by evening and check in to the hotel. Relax and enjoy the evening at leisure in Manali. Overnight stay in Manali.
After breakfast, get ready for the sightseeing tour of the Manali hill station and visit the Hadimba Devi Temple, Manu Temple, Tibetan Monasteries, and Vashisht Village. Afternoon is free for your own leisure activities. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, start the return journey to Chandigarh. Enjoy the scenic drive via Kullu, Mandi, and Bilaspur. Drop off at Chandigarh in the evening, to board your flight/train for your homeward journey. Here your tour ends with sweet memories with Vasu Tours.
